Insomnia Severity Index (ISI)

The Insomnia Severity Index (Morin) is a short screening of sleep problems: how hard it is to fall and stay asleep, how dissatisfied you are with it, and how sleep interferes with your day. It is not a diagnosis of insomnia but a measure of severity. Sleep is the foundation of the psyche: chronic sleep deprivation itself amplifies anxiety and low mood, so it's worth tracking separately.

Before you start
This is a screening, not a diagnosis of insomnia. The result reflects the severity of sleep problems over the past two weeks. A moderate or high score is a reason to pay attention to your sleep and, if needed, see a specialist (a physician or a psychologist who works with sleep).
